Jalan-jalan Padang Temerloh

Mana: Kampung Pasir Sia, Padang Piol
Bila: Mac 29, 2008
Siapa : Family sebelah Abah
Ada apa: Hantar pengantin!

We had never been to Padang Piol let alone Kampung Pasir Sia. So we were very excited!

From KL we stopped at Kerdau (my biras’s parent’s house, Tok Ki and Tok Wan) and were served with delicious breakfast. We had nasi dagang, nasi kerabu, nasi goreng, kerabu pucuk labu, dodol kukus and pisang goreng. Although we already had our breakfast earlier, we finished almost everything on the table!.

We then drove to Jerantut Mosque as the Pengantin will be waiting there. Right after Zohor we headed to Padang Piol. Piol lives by its name. Naik biol sbb jlnnya bengkang bengkok but I love the countryside. The road is actually headed to Taman Negara so, you can imagine all the big trees cover the side road.
We were welcomed with paluan gong carried by two men. They lead us to the groom’s house.

Then followed by the silat pencak. Its been ages since I last saw silat pencak like this. In my kampong, silat pengantin usually very lembut and berbunga-bunga. But here at Padang Piol they showed us the real silat.

agak handsome adik pesilat ini.

Iman was so thrilled that he actually stand still (rhyme la pulak..heheh) and ternganga-nganga mulutnya.

Then the DJ (notice the huge speaker?) invited us in.

I was thinking that we will be seated kat khemah, instead, we were lead into the house. Ah…this is how people did it dolu-dolu kan, no matter how small your house is. Tetamu is tetamu, jemput naik rumah. I was so excited!. Now tell me out of 5 majlis kawen u attend, how many you actually been invited into the house? What about eating nasi kenduri inside the house? Nay? Khemah..khemah..khemah….tak pon dewan…dewan…dewan….hah!

Then upon seeing what have been prepared for us….i was speechless! I cuit Chenta and he just said.. I know…I know…best giler!..hehehehe. It was like being in 70s! what I saw in my sister’s wedding pictures are now terbentang depan mata! I love the safrah…the deco of the food, the sirap…the desserts…..soooooooo 70sss!

Feast your eyes people!

The food was seriously marvelous! Mangkuk Patin tidak berbekas!. Gulai lemak kerbau sungguh wallah! Maka ayam golek tinggal tergolek sbb lauk kampong hebat sangat!!!

kekenyangan, Iman then bergoyang pinggul di laman.

dan dapat jek paper bag berkat teruss menonong nak balik!.

tapi lihat dulu cik kiah yang tersenyum gumbira dengan 'berkat' mangkuk tingkat saiz XL. mak jalan dulu tu......

Padang Piol definitely rock!
